GEM’s Fluid bed dryer is a process unit for preparation of granulated materials for solid dosage forms in batch and continuous batch operations. The system is applied for drying, agglomerations and top spraying upon fluidized bed. Fluid Bed Dryers are manufactured in various capacities & batch sizes. Batch size means the weight of wet product i.e. including moisture / solvent that can be charged in the dryer at a time. In case of very granular or crystalline material the capacity may be increased by about 15 to 20%.

Application & Process :
Comminuting mill is used for the down sizing, milling, pulverization and dispersion of wet and dry products in pharmaceutical, chemical, food, cosmetics, fertilizers industry
etc.
The product is poured from the top through in feed hopper and material falls on the rotor blades beater assembly for milling or pulverization. Due to the knife edges mounted on rotor, the downsizing of particle takes place and through sieve material gets pushed outward from the bottom opening. Knife edges can be removed for cleaning very easily.
Versatile compact colloid mill suitable for Homogenizing, dispersing, mixing, communicating more rapidly and emulsifying to give best results with an extremely high quality. The unit consists of stainless steel conical hopper, three way valve for drainage and recirculation, outlet nozzle and sprout rotor and stator assembly with 5H.P./ 3 HP motor, DOL starter with overload relay and optional jacket for cooling or heating.
Cone mill is used for achieving de-lumping, dispersion, De agglomeration, fine grinding, dry and wet milling uniform size reduction, sieving and mixing in the pharmaceutical, food, fine chemical, personal care and cosmetics industries.
The product is poured into the feed hopper of the Cone Mill. In the conical screen chamber, a rotating impeller imparts a vortex flow pattern to the in feed product. The product is forced outward to the screen surface by centrifugal acceleration, ensuring continuous delivery into the “action zone” between the screen and impeller. No heating of product during granulation / sizing operation, due to better air circulation and lesser impact action. In the “action zone” the material is uniformly sized and instantaneously passed tangentially through the screen openings. The finished product is discharged at the bottom of the milling chamber.
Conta Blending System has replaced completely the conventional blenders like V shape / Double cone or Ribbon type- is to latest GMP concept with an emphasis on the dust free transfer of powders and granules at different stages from sizing / dispensing 1o compression / filling of Tablets or Capsules.
The process involves collecting the sized granules in o Container, wheeling it to the Blender, engage the same with clamping system, lift and tumble for the pre validated time in set number of rotations.
Conta Blender has a flexibility of Batch Volume. Varying sizes of containers con be mounted on a drive console which is equipped with clamping cage. Batch size variation achievable in 500 kg. Model for example, is from 5 kg, to 1000 kg, using two different sizes of containers. The mixing efficiency is better than the other type of tumbling blenders like Double Cone, V or Octagonal as they rotate in a diagonal and in an eccentric plane.
It shuffles the product intimately resulting in homogeneous blend within 5-20 minutes.

The Coating Pan is simple unit, which employs the principle of rolling a batch of tablets in an elliptical pan, spraying the coating solution on it and passing hot air across the tablet bed. An exhaust blower may be used to carry away the excess fumes generated during the coating and drying process. These devices are manufactured for lifting the storage bins and later positioning the same at their destination with these devices a tilting facility is provided owing to which FBD’s product container can be emptied. Further, this facility helps in charging the material in order to process the equipment.
These units are constructed using various standard assemblies which offer individual solution to each application of solid dosage manufacturing and also for liquid compounding operation. This system is evolved to achieve dust free transfer of in-process materials enhancing cGMP standard and simultaneously eliminating laborious manual operation. Elevator operates by engaging the container to a semicircular / single hook / fork type / platform, lift arm attached to a column. The container is then raised or lowered by hydraulic system with built in safety parameters. The four point contact bearing on the column base with a low resistance factor makes it possible to position loaded container by hand radially, to discharge the contents in the process equipment’s.
